Mike "Popsy" Mitchell, 79, of Trafalgar, IN went home to be the Lord on Saturday, May

18, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to George and Iola (Sims) Mitchell. Mike married Sue (Franklin) Mitchell, his wife of 58 years, on February 12, 1966.

He served his country as a jet mechanic at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas during Vietnam and later the couple returned home to Indiana with their young daughter where Mike worked and retired from Navistar.

Lover of a good joke and a stroll down memory lane, he lived to share a laugh with

everyone he met.

Survivors include wife, Sue- lovingly nicknamed "Mopsy" of Trafalgar, IN, his daughter, Alicia Burris and her husband Joe of Trafalgar, IN, grandchildren Elizabeth Williams (Mike) and Allen Hall Heather; five treasured great-grandchildren-

Cooper, Maple, Reed, Tate and Austin; brother, Jeff Mitchell; and several

beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jerry Mitchell and Lorelei Dickinson.

A celebration of life will be held on June 29, 2024 at Nineveh Christian Church 1261 East 775 South in Nineveh, IN at 2:00 p.m. for close friends and family.
