Obituary

Michael Lee Wiley, 79 of St. Petersburg, Florida and formerly of Greenwood, IN passed away Wednesday October 5, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born August 12, 1943 in Connersville, IN, the son of Max and Helen (Saters) Pool.  He married Beverly Jane (Jordan) Wiley on November 21, 1964 at the Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis, IN, she survives.

He was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, IN where in 1961 was an Indiana State Champion in wrestling. He enjoyed hunting and playing golf. While living in Florida, he enjoyed working at the golf course.

He had been a truck driver for over 30 years and a member of Teamsters Local 135 having retired from TNT Holland Express.

Survivors include his wife Beverly Jane (Jordan) Wiley of St. Petersburg, FL, two sons Greg A. Wiley (Tina) of Spencer, IN and Steven Wayne Wiley of St. Petersburg, FL, three grandchildren Keith Wiley, Ashley Wiley and Kyle Wiley, three great grandchildren Adriaynna Wiley Dale, Noah Wiley and Keilen Wiley, a brother Tim Pool (Joanie) of Plainfield, IN and a sister Betty Wiley Jones (Dick) of Whiteland, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Max and Helen (Saters) Pool, his grandson Justin Michael Wiley on April 20, 2020, brothers Meredith Wiley and Larry Wiley.

Pastor James Devney will conduct a service on Thursday October 13, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmrotuary.com .  Friends may call on Wednesday October 12, 2022 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary.  Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
