Nancy Joane (Morris) Cheever, 83, of Franklin, IN and formerly of Kokomo, IN and Sedro-Wooley, WA passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at Morning Pointe of Franklin in Franklin, IN.

She was born June 21, 1940 in Kokomo, IN to Paul James Morris and Beulah Marie (Ennis) Morris.  She married Edward Howard Cheever on October 6, 1962 in Kokomo, IN; he preceded her in death on May 7, 1984.

Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Kokomo High School.

She was a loving homemaker and previously had been head of laundry and procurement of housekeeping director in health care in Sedro-Wooley, WA.

Nancy enjoyed crocheting blankets, crafts, playing bingo, attending exercise classes and watching Rev. Charles Stanley on television.

Survivors include her sons Monte Cheever of Edinburgh, IN and Greg Cheever of Austin, TX, a daughter Susan (Cheever) Lamb (Greg) of Mt. Vernon, WA, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Rose Gallegos, Paulette Bailey, and Judy Sagarsee.

The Reverend Shan Rutherford will conduct a service on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/nancycheever.  Friends may call Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 11:30AM until service time at the mortuary.
