Nila Raye (Beck) Fisher, 81, of Muncie, IN and formerly of Bargersville, IN passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.

She was born October 23, 1942 in Beech Grove, IN to Ray Wilson Beck and Mary Elizabeth (Pritchard) Beck.  Nila married Benjamin Edward Fisher on June 9, 1961 at Bluff Creek Christian Church in Greenwood, IN; he preceded her in death on August 22, 2010.

Nila was 1960 graduate of Center Grove High School and also grew up attending Bluff Creek Christian Church.

She had been a secretary for the Foxfire Golf Course in Naples, FL and also a secretary for Cowan Schools in Muncie, IN.

Nila and her husband had resided also in Naples, Florida for twelve years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading the Bible.

Survivors include her daughter Patricia S. Goodpaster (Jay Golden) of Muncie, IN, her son Craig B. Fisher (Jody McCarty) of Marco Island, FL, grandchildren Zane T. McCarty-Fisher and Tye H. McCarty-Fisher both of Marco, Island, FL, Cera N. Goodpaster of Anderson, IN, Jordan L. Goodpaster and Jerrell R. Goodpaster both of Muncie, IN, Faith Oldham (James) of Lewisville, IN, a great-granddaughter Peyton Oldham, a sister-in-law Cheryl Beck of Bargersville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Russell Beck.

Pastor Shan Rutherford will conduct a service on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/nilafisher.  Friends may call Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 12 Noon until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
