Opal C. (Osborne) Walker, 101, of Greenwood, IN passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Aspen Trace in Greenwood, IN.

She was born July 16, 1922 in Farmer City, Illinois to Holly Clyde Osborne and Grace J. (Riggleman) Osborne.

Opal married Ernest E. "Bud" Walker on August 27, 1947; he preceded her in death on January 17, 2007.

She loved cooking and was one of the best cooks.  She always wanted to make sure she could feed everybody.  Spending time with family was very important to her, she enjoyed gardening and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her children Steven Walker (Martha) of Greenwood, IN, Christie Watson of Greenwood, IN, Beckie Stumpf (Richard) of Whiteland, IN, Bonnie Ott (Wayne) of Greenwood, IN and Randy Walker (Cathy) of Greenwood, IN, fourteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brothers Larry Osborne of Minnesota, Cliff Osborne of Columbus, IN, and sisters Helen Dimos of Oxnard, CA, Dorothy Abney of Columbus, IN and Louise Shearin of Morgantown, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Vickie Lynn Booher, siblings Arvin "Pony" Osborne, Anna "Kate" Knop, Eleanor Obos, Audrey Goudy, Paul Osborne, Lyle Osborne, Hollie "Clyde" Osborne, Carolyn Taylor and Betty Freeland.

Pastor Lori Ferguson will conduct a service on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com.  Friends may call Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11AM until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
