Owen Keith Cochran, 85, of Bargersville, IN passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Morning Pointe of Franklin, IN.

He was born June 6, 1938 in Trafalgar, IN to Frank Emerson Cochran and Gladys Loraine (Ellis) Cochran.

Keith was a 1956 graduate of Trafalgar High School.  He served in the United States Army Reserve from 1955 until 1963.

He retired as general manager for the Johnson County Farm Bureau CO-OP in 1997 after 40 years of service.

Keith had been a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church since 1949.  He attended Providence Christian Church since 2007.  He served on the Trafalgar Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years and was a member of the Trafalgar-Nineveh Masonic Lodge #317 since 1968.

He enjoyed playing board games and spending time with his friends at the Trafalgar Restaurants.

Survivors include his sister Patty Miller (Mike) of Indianapolis, IN, a niece Lori Owens (Melvin) of Greenwood, IN, a great-nephew Josh Owens (Amanda) of Greenwood, IN, great-great-nieces and nephew Kiera, Kenzie, Bryce and Brooke.

His parents preceded him in death.

Dr. Steven Sorensen will conduct a service on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South Morton Street, Franklin, IN, the service will be live streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com.  Friends may call Friday, January 12, 2024 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
