Patricia "Patty" (Whetstine) Frost, 89, of Franklin, IN passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Compass Park at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, IN.

She was born February 28, 1936 in Franklin, IN to Lester T. Whetstine and Rosa (Ratliff) Whestine.  Patty married Hobert L. Frost on May 13, 1952 in Franklin, IN; he preceded her in death on April 6, 2011.

She had been in employed by the Franklin Community School Corporation at Northwood Elementary School in the cafeteria services many years.  She later worked at the Franklin Active Adult Center in the cafeteria.

Patty was a member of Victory Christian Church formerly known at Franklin Memorial Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

She enjoyed baking bread for family gatherings, reading, working puzzles and was a great seamstress.

Survivors include her children Teresa Crossman (Jerry) of Franklin, IN, Tony Frost (Judy) of Franklin, IN and Alan Frost of Katy, TX, her nine grandchildren Eric Crossman (Stephanie) of Franklin, IN, Sarah York (Jake) of Franklin, IN, Adam Crossman of Greenwood, IN, Tammy Fox (Josh) of Greenwood, IN, Patrick Frost of Greenwood, IN, Madison Frost of Texas, Savannah Frost of Texas, Brody Petro of Franklin, IN and Briker Petro of Franklin, IN, great-grandchildren Brianna, Eric Jr., Brooklyn, Trace, Lydia, Hannah, Logan, Nyxon, Gwen, Gracen and Gage, great- great-grandchildren Laila, Landon and Bennett and gave blankets and bunnies to all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren when they were born, her son-in-law Kent D. Petro of Franklin, IN and daughter-in-law Kim Frost of Katy, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Virginia R. Petro on January 17, 2016, an infant son David Joe Frost in 1960, three brothers Charles Whetstine, Bobby Whetstine, and Jimmy Whetstine.

Pastor Rick Davis will conduct a service on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/patriciafrost.  Friends may call Friday, February 20, 2026 from 11:30 AM until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will follow the service at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, IN.
