Randall "Randy" Scott Eckhardt, 56, of Franklin, IN passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.
He was born October 2, 1968 in Comfort, Texas.
Randy graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas where he played football and then attended and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in management.
He had been working in data management in health care for several years.
Randy loved sports and especially Texas A&M sports. He was an Aggie through and through. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico, France, and he spent significant time in Thailand and Panama. His favorite spot was the beach, and he loved listening to live music. He loved his friends, he had a huge heart and was considered the life of the party.
Survivors include his mother Alta May Hurst of Franklin, IN, his sister Jamie L. Bromley (Bob) of Franklin, IN, nephew Luke Bromley of Franklin, IN, an uncle and aunt James and Kathryn Hurst of Boerne, Texas, cousins Jacob Hurst (Jamie), Sarah Lewis (Erik), Sebastian Hurst, Bowie Hurst and his beloved fur baby Buster.
His father James A. Eckhardt preceded him in death.
Reverend Dr. Robert Coleman will conduct a memorial service on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 6PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/randalleckhardt. A visitation will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 5PM until service time.
