Raymond E. Risch, 93, of Franklin, IN passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. He was born November 28, 1928 in Franklin, IN to Fred and Wilma (VanHorn) Risch. He married Rose (Barger) Risch on August 30, 1952 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin, IN, she survives.
He was a 1947 graduate of Center Grove High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea.
He was a life-long farmer in Johnson County.
Raymond had served on the Johnson County Fair Board, served as a 4-H leader of the Amity Booster 4-H Club, a member of the Moonlighters Farmers Club and the Progressive Farmers Club.
Survivors include his wife Rose (Barger) Risch of Franklin, IN, his children Jerry D. Risch of Franklin, IN, Cathy L. Risch (Brenda) of Indianapolis, IN, Laura A. Williams of Indianapolis, IN and James M. Risch (Allison) of Franklin, IN, five grandchildren Jason Risch (Kelly), Jamie Wilder, Bryan Williams, Parker Williams and Chelsea Tanner, three great-grandchildren Hayden Martin, Khaleesi Wilder and Aurora Wilder and a sister Ruth Ann Acker (Joe) of Greenwood, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant children Daniel Ray and Mary Ann, a brother Joe Risch and sister-in-law Stella Risch.
A private funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin, IN. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
A public celebration of life service will be forthcoming.
