Reva J. (Robison) Porter Chastain, 85, of Bargersville, IN passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Greenwood Health and Living Community.

She was born April 10, 1938 in Jennings County, IN to Maurice Eldon Robison and Stella Leota (Easterly) Robison.

Reva married Lawrence E. "Larry" Porter on May 18, 1958, he preceded her in death on January 28, 2011.  She later married Clarence H. "Chris" Chastain, he survives.

She was a 1956 graduate of Hayden High School and a graduate of Beauty College.

Reva had been a beautician in Bargersville, IN and a later an office manager for ANR and Yellow Freight Truck Lines for several years.

She was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church and Teamsters Local 135 in Indianapolis, IN.

Reva enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons Bruce Porter (Pam) of Greenwood, IN and Keith Porter (Kathleen) of Beech Grove, IN, her husband Clarence H. "Chris" Chastain of Bargersville, IN, four grandchildren Anna Reisz (Michael), Lucas Porter, Noah Porter and Joshua Porter (Cayleigh), great-grandchildren Avery  Reisz, Ezra Reisz and Ender Reisz, a twin sister Rita Hall (Stanley) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, a sister Linda Garrett (Tom) of Hayden, IN, a brother Maurice Robison (Diane) of Seymour, IN, a stepson, a stepdaughter and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence E. "Larry" Porter and a sister Twila Banister.

Pastor Todd Poynter will conduct a service on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11AM at Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Road, in Greenwood, IN where friends may call from 9AM until service time at the church.

A graveside service will follow on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 1:30PM at Hayden Cemetery in Jennings County, IN.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling arrangements.
