Rex Alan Blackwell, 61, of Greenwood, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN.  He was born September 19, 1960 in Martinsville, IN to Russell and Phebe (Amons) Blackwell.  He married Tammy (Wright) Blackwell, she survives.

He was a truck driver.  Rex was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Tammy (Wright) Blackwell of Greenwood, IN, children Rex Alan Blackwell Jr. of Bloomington, IN and Russell Blackwell II of Greenwood, IN and Rebecca Blackwell of Indianapolis, IN, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Rusty Blackwell and a brother Ray Lee Blackwell.

A service will be conducted at 4PM on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN with visitation from 3PM until service time.
