Robert "Bob" Elmo Proctor, 84, of Franklin, IN passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Richard L. Roudebush V.A. Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. He was born March 20, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Grady L. Proctor and Josephine (Hall) Lutzhultz. He married Ervena Lessa "Patty" Proctor, she precede him in death.
He had been enlisted with the United States Coast Guard for 6 years and was an Able Body Seaman of the Merchant Marines.
Robert "Bob" was a member of the American Legion Post 79 in Zionsville, IN. He enjoyed building and working on clocks and sailing on the Great Lakes and the Seven Seas.
Survivors include his daughter Joanne M. Georgiev of Franklin, IN, sons Robert E. Proctor Jr. (Diane) of Parkton, NC and David L. Proctor (Shawna) of Carthage, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three daughters Sherry Strain, Cheryl Mirabella and Jeannie Breaux.
Military Honors service will be conduct by the United States Coast Guard Honor Guard and the Samuel Woodfield Post #9 Honor Guard of Madison, IN on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 3PM at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 MSH North Gate Road, in Madison, IN 47250. Inurnment will follow the service.
