Robert W. "Bobby" Matheson Jr., 57, of Speedway, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Life's Journey Hospice in Avon.He was born June 3, 1967 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Robert W. "Bob" Matheson and Ruth Diane (Spayd) Matheson.

He is survived by his wife Merasol T. (Birot-Torres) Matheson, married on August 26, 2018 in Manila, Philippines. Bobby was a warehouse picker for Amazon in Plainfield, IN. Bobby was a 1986 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, IN and was a member of the Ben Davis Dad's club having worked security at sporting events.  He was a member of Gracepoint Church in New Whiteland, IN where he enjoyed mowing the grass and taking care of the lawn.  Bobby was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfarther.

Survivors include his wife Merasol T. (Birot-Torres) Matheson of Speedway, IN, his son Emmitt J. Matheson, his daughter Janena Evans (Zach) of Ft. Campbell, TN, a grandchild Giselle Evans, his father Robert W. "Bob" Matheson and stepmother Gail (Ferguson) Matheson of Greenwood, IN, his sisters Kelly Humphrey (Brian) of Avon, IN and Elizabeth Oyer, several nieces and nephews, and his stepsister Jennifer Stauth (Brent) of Indianapolis, IN.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Ruth Diane (Spayd) Matheson.

Pastor Zack Scellato will conduct a service on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 1PM at Gracepoint Church, 330 Whiteland Road, New Whiteland, IN, 46184 with visitation from 11AM until service time at the church.  Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given for the benefit of his son Emmitt Matheson.  If you choose to donate, please make checks payable to Merasol Matheson.  They can be given at the church or mailed to Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center at 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) Franklin, IN 46131.
