Rosalyn "Rosie" Marie (Burdsall) Wise, 85, longtime resident of Bargersville, IN passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born November 12, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to Wayne D. and Mariam E. (Williamson) Burdsall.  Rosie met the love of her life Gerald "Jeff" L. Wise at the 1955 Johnson County Fair and later married him on April 19, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Franklin, IN, he survives.

She was a 1956 graduate of Franklin High School and was voted the best dancer in her class.

Rosie started her career in banking as a teller at American Fletcher National Bank in Indianapolis, then Bargersville State Bank and later First Community Bank in Bargersville, IN for twenty years before retiring.

She was known as everybody's mom in Bargersville and extended her motherly love to many children over her lifetime.

Rosie enjoyed cooking for family and friends, going to garage sales, dancing and being with her family. She loved reading and sitting out on the front porch.

Survivors include her husband Gerald "Jeff" L. Wise of Bargersville, IN, her children Laura A. Lowe (Whitney) of Bargersville, IN, Gerald Douglas "Doug" Wise of Bargersville, IN, Thomas "Tom" Wise (Cindy) of Martinsville, IN, Amy Carson (Chris) of Whiteland, IN and Donnie Wise of Bargersville, IN, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Alice Carter Griffith, Carolyn Carey, Linda Wilkerson and a brother Johnie Burdsall.

A celebration of life service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com .  Friends may call Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 11AM until service time at the mortuary.  Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
