Sharon E. (Franklin) Onnenga-Wood, 86, of Martinsville, IN and formerly of Toledo, OH passed away Thursday, June 12, 2024.

She was born June 16, 1937 in Toledo, OH to Floyd Franklin and Evelyn (Lincoln) Franklin.  Sharon married Ronald N. Onnenga on May 12, 1956 in Toledo, OH; he preceded her in death on May 19, 1996.  She later married Douglas E. Wood on December 4, 2013; he preceded her in death on September 27, 2021.

Survivors include her children Kathryn Fairchild (Mel) of Martinsville, IN, Suzette Bruening (Matt) of Ft. Myers, FL and Beth Ann Myers of Boise, ID, grandchildren Carrie May, Levi Onnenga, Jonathan Peters, Annie Fredericksen, Alex Bruening, Peyton Bruening, Macy Myers and Lily Myers, great grandchildren Ella Zeigler, Maddox and Penelope May, Autumn Evans, Mason and Maylee Fredericksen, Jilleen, Jason and JJ Crochet, Jon Guevara, Ethan Bruening, siblings Joyce LeMaitre, Gordon Franklin and Penny Trombley.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and son Scott R. Onnenga on May 30, 2022.

The family would like to thank the staff of Main Street Hospice for their loving care and compassion.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10:30AM at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery, 620 West Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
