Sheri Marie (Ellis) Hudacin, 68, of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Lowell, IN passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born October 31, 1955 at Ft. Benning, Alabama to Warren and Mary Rose (Mendes) Ellis. She spent her high school years in Lemoore, CA where she met and married Robert N. Hudacin on August 16, 1975; he survives.
Sheri enjoyed traveling in Ireland, cruising the Caribbean and more recently using their timeshare in Tennessee to spend family vacations with all of the kids and grandkids.
She took her love of travel to a new level by opening her own agency, Carefree Travel, which she operated for thirty years.
She also adored spending time with the grandkids. Together they would bake, play board games, have tea parties and go on special outings.
She loved to spoil everyone with her baked goods, especially banana bread and Christmas cookies.
Survivors include her husband Robert N. Hudacin of Indianapolis, IN, a daughter Brandi Dermody (Mike) of Jacksonville, FL, a son Dustin Hudacin (Chrissy) of Avon, IN, a daughter Amber Williams (Ben) of Mooresville, IN, and seven grandchildren Jacob, Zoey, Cayden, Olivia, Malina, Gavin and Hensley.
She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Mary Rose (Mendes) Ellis and a brother Dave Ellis.
The Reverend Shan Rutherford will conduct a memorial service on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 3PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/sherihudacin. Friends may call Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 1PM until the 3PM service.
