Shirley Faye (Freeman) Miller, 84, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN with her family at her side.
She was born July 22, 1939 in Montezuma, TN to Manley E. Freeman and Hattie L. (Davis) Freeman.
Shirley was very talented in any projects that she chose to do whether it be sewing, crafts of all kinds, gardening, plumbing, etc., no job was too big for her to tackle.
She lived a full life living in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
Shirley loved going to Florida during the winter months with her husband, they owned a home there and they were very active in their community.
She had several occupations throughout her lifetime.
Shirley is survived by her husband Paul E. Miller of Indianapolis, IN, five sons Carl H. Wise Jr. (Annette) of Indianapolis, IN, Steven Elliott (Rob) of Wausau, WI, Curtis L. Wise of Indianapolis, IN, Richard D. Berrier of Martinsville, IN, Kevin John Shipp (Shawn) of Martinsville, IN, one brother Billy W. Freeman of Indianapolis, IN, one sister Patricia J. (Freeman) Walker (Max) of Greenwood, IN, one niece Robynn E. (Price) Zehnder Seitz (Mark) of Franklin, TN, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Manley E. Freeman and Hattie L. (Davis) Freeman and her sister Carrie N. (Freeman) Price.
A visitation will take place on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 11AM until 1PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN. A graveside service will follow on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1:45PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
