Obituary

Sylvia Anne (Willoughby) Tuley, 79, and a lifelong resident of Greenwood, IN passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Friday, January 20, 2023.  She was born February 28, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to Raymond and Geneva Anne (Conklin) Willoughby.  She married Timothy L. Tuley on June 20, 1964 at Southport Presbyterian Church in Southport, IN, he survives.

Sylvia was a 1961 graduate of Center Grove High School.  She was a hairdresser for many years and taught over thirty years, preschool at Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church in Stones Crossing and later at Bargersville Christian Church.

She loved to travel, dance, shop and especially spend time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Timothy L. Tuley of Greenwood, IN, her three children Mandy Baker (Tom) of Bargersville, IN, Scott Tuley of Trafalgar, IN and Genny Tuley (Matthew Novello) of Greenwood, IN, three grandchildren Allison K. Baker, Aaron I. Baker and Ava R. Tuley, siblings Linda Peters (Howard-deceased) of Greenwood, IN, Steve Willoughby (Melanie) of Yukon, OK, Stan Willoughby (Teresa) of Franklin, IN, Mary Gulling of Bargersville, IN, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Geneva Anne (Conklin) Willoughby, a brother Gary Willoughby and brother in law Howard Peters.

Services will be private.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
