Treva Mary (Sutton) Cross, 86, of Plainfield, IN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
She was born October 12, 1938 in New Castle, Henry County, IN to Hubert Lee Sutton and Velva Anise (Ratliff) Sutton.
Treva had worked for Western Electric in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years. She also had worked at JC Penney at Washington Square in Indianapolis and G.C. Murphy in Fountain Square.
She attended Tuxedo Park Baptist Church in Indianapolis, was an avid Indiana University basketball fan and loved working puzzles.
Survivors include her son Johnny L. Cross (Karen) of Mooresville, IN, her daughter Connie S. Jones (Slade) of Mooresville, IN, grandchildren Johnny, Jimmy, Emily, Erica, Michael, Sierra, Kyle and Dillon, 24 great-grandchildren, and a sister June Croxford (Ray) of Fruitland, Idaho, and her former spouse Johnny C. Cross of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Walter Dale Sutton, Jack Sutton, Doyle Sutton, Robert Sutton, Paul Sutton, Margaret Sutton Kuhn and Joan Sutton Neal.
Pastor Bill Turner will conduct a service on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/trevacross. Friends may call Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4PM until the 7PM service time at the mortuary.
A graveside service will follow on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240 or at www.alz.org.
