Viecia Ray Dixon, 94, of Greenwood, IN passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Aspen Trace Health and Living in Greenwood, IN.

He was born July 22, 1931 in Ashburne, Missouri to Jesse Dow Dixon and Trula "Dixie" Bernadine (Troutman) Dixon.  He married Betty Ruth (Chattin) Dixon on February 15, 1953 at Decker Chapel, Indiana, she preceded him in death on July 30, 2012.

Ray was a United States Veteran of the United States Army with the rank of Sargeant.

He was a retired minister having served for over 40 years throughout the state of Indiana with the Evangelical United Brethren Church, the United Methodist Church, and American Baptist Church.

Ray loved his family, the church and his Lord.  He was a great man.

Survivors include his daughters Sherrill Kotter of New Whiteland, IN, Kathryn Keller (Richard) of Rockville, IN and Victoria Able of Greenwood, IN, his grandchildren Jessica Keller, Jennifer Spurgeon (Deric), Matthew Goodpaster (Ashley), Lindsey Lydick, Raychel Mummert (Jon), great- grandchildren Connor, Colton, JJ, Max, Ian, Amelia, Eily, Eliana, Braden, Dane, Caleb, Evelyn, Dawson, Maylee and Abella.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Pastor Doug Bohall will conduct a service on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11AM at Honey Creek Church, 2722 South Honey Creek Road in Greenwood, IN with military honors to follow by the United States Army Honor Guard.  Friends may call from 9:30 AM Monday, February 2, 2026 until service time at the church.

A graveside service will follow on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 3:30 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow Street in Vincennes, IN 47591.
