William Donald Assenheimer, 81, of Franklin, Indiana, and formerly longtime resident of Wapakoneta, Ohio passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was born May 23, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Arthur B. Assenheimer and Alice Hazel (Huchtemann) Assenheimer.  He married Wayna K. (Mercer) Assenheimer on November 20, 1966 in Wapakoneta, Ohio; she preceded him in death on November 16, 2022.

He had been a time study engineer for Monarch Machine Tool and Company (Lathe Manufacturer) and a Freemason.

Survivors include his daughter Cynthia (Assenheimer) Cox, son-in-law Kevin Cox, and granddaughter Grace Cox of Fishers, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Memorial services are pending at Compass Park Indiana Masonic Home chapel.

Inurnment will take place at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
