William "Bill" Charles Kral, 84, of Trafalgar, IN passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN.
He was born October 23, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Charles William Kral and Louise Pauline (Maslankowski) Kral. He married Raelene J. (Kelley) Kral on September 28, 1963 in Blue Island, IL, she survives.
He was a graduate of Reavis High School in Burbank, IL.
William had been a machinist for Navistar in Chicago, IL and later in Indianapolis, IN before retiring.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union, and the National Muzzleloaders Rifle Association. He built muzzleloaders, enjoyed spending time with his family, was a gentle spirit and great teacher, always willing to help others. He also loved motorcycles and was still hoping to restore his old motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife Raelene J. (Kelley) Kral of Trafalgar, IN, his children Wendy S. Arp (Brian) of Franklin, IN, Jennifer A. Smith of Trafalgar, IN and Thomas R. Kral of Franklin, IN, his grandchildren Matthew Arp (Meredith), Megan Cleary (Patrick), Michael Arp (Piper), William Arp (Emily Moser), Boone Smith (Maddie), Olivia Kral, great-grandchildren Luna Arp, Levi Arp, Ivy Arp, Benjamin Arp, Nolan Arp and Garrett Smith, a brother David Kral (Stella) of Knoxville, TN, sisters Diane Sampson of Lockport, IL and Nancy Puczylowski (Virgil) of Statesville, NC, and his fur baby Penny.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Charles Sampson
A time of sharing and gathering will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 2PM until 5PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN.
