William R. Schurick

William Ray Schurick, 73, of Edinburgh, IN passed away on Wednesday, August 26
at Our Hospice in Columbus, IN.

He was born August 20, 1953 in Beech Grove, IN.Bill was a graduate of Center Grove High School. He retired as an assembler at General Motors Allison Transmission in Speedway, IN after 30 years of service. 

Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, his ATV side-by-side, woodworking and going to the casino’s. He married Patricia A. (Hamm) Schurick on October 21, 1992 in Las Vegas, NV, she survives. Also surviving is her daughter Michele L. Hughes (Joe) of Franklin, IN, his granddaughters Lauren Avery Swartz (Adam) of Bargersville, IN, Lindsey Jo Hughes of Franklin and step-granddaughter Tara Miller (JT) of Franklin, four nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald R. Schurick and mother Delores J.(Latham) Morris. 

Bill battled lung cancer for many years and is now no longer in pain. He was so loved and will be greatly missed. His wishes were to have no funeral services, a celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced.
